Fear Not

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” – Franklin Delano Roosevelt

It is not the distance from the cliff to the ground that invokes fear.  It is not trying something new that invokes fear.  It is not saying “I love you” that invokes fear.  Rather, it is the risk of falling, the risk of failure, and the risk of rejection that invoke fear.  We are so afraid of the potential of being harmed that, more often than not, we fail to embrace the possibility of growth, success, and love.  And that is what really harms us.  We are not guaranteed another second on this Earth.  You know that.  So be daring and fear not.  The world awaits.

***I had posted this on Facebook a few months ago, but a friend reminded me today that I hadn’t written in a while, so I decided to put this out here.  I’ll hopefully write some newer material soon.
